The Squatch Commandments

I. Thou shalt not trash my house,
for I do not visit yours and throw banana peels on the floor.

II. Thou shalt stay on the trail, unless thou enjoyest getting lost and meeting me unexpectedly.

III. Thou shalt keep thy music low, for the birds already have a playlist.

IV. Thou shalt not feed the wildlife, especially the bears—trust me on this one.

V. Thou shalt pack it in and pack it out, yes, even that.

VI. Thou shalt respect fire, because burnt forests make lousy hiding spots.

VII. Thou shalt know when to turn back, pride weighs more than your backpack.

VIII. Thou shalt share the mountains, trails are not racetracks and summits are not thrones.

IX. Thou shalt check the weather, I have fur and still don’t mess with storms.

X. Thou shalt enjoy the mountains humbly, and if thou see me… no you didn’t.
